BRIDGES AND CROWNS ON NATURAL TEETH • METAL OR METAL-FREE IMPLANTS

CAD/CAM technology enables the creation of fixed prostheses, starting with a single element, and finishing with the creation of single-piece individual arches. We create fixed prostheses for both natural teeth and implants, with the possibility of adding customized stumps, with milling available, and from pre-milled. The great variety of materials is derived from the multiplicity of the range of industrial products available to dental technology.

We can use various polymers, from PMMA to the latest generation of nanocomposites, ceramic materials, monolithic zirconia, monolithic materials with many layers, lithium disilicate, and reinforced ceramics.

We also have at our disposal metallic materials that can be milled, such as medical-grade chromium-cobalt and titanium.

We can use additional types of combinations for fixed prostheses:

– monolithic zirconia ceramics

– composite

– crown with a metal cap

– zirconia coated with porcelain

– composite, or with CAD-online structures.

There are definitive advantages to the use of prostheses constructed with a CAD/CAM system compared to those made with traditional technologies:

The process of transformation from a file to a milled product.

The utilization of disks of materials supplied by the manufacturing industry guarantees homogeneity and the best features of every type of specific product.

When milling a piece of metal, whether it is chromium-cobalt, titanium-zirconium, or a composite, we can achieve homogenous structures free of porosity and construction defects with no need or any soldering, which would alter the chemical-physical structures.

This gives us a greater stability of the laminated materials (ceramic or composite), that is, into a better manufactured article. A technology of this kind satisfies the need for metal-free products: in the field of CAD/CAM we make considerable use of full ceramics, monolithic or coated, zirconia being used solely for milling and successive sintering.
